iPhone 16 Pro Max iPhone 16 pro - Better grip?

Just got my 16 pro max out of the box.
I haven’t been using a case for the last few months on my 15 pro max and can immediately tell that the 16 pro max finish on the edges of the phone has more grip.

Is this a difference in color? (My old phone is the natural color and new phone is the black titanium.)
Or is this a new finish?

Yea it's a bit more micro textured and gritty which i dont mind [i have a case on anyway lolol], i think they mentioned it in the keynote. The 15 pro max [from memory when i tested at apple store] was much more silky smooth

I definitely like it more than the smoothness of the 15 pro. But I still might get a case for the first few months. I usually get tired of it pretty quickly though.

Yup, I immediately noticed the difference. I gave it a couple of hours to confirm it wasn't a placebo effect. It definitely has better grip. So much so, that I think I'm going to rock it naked for a while.

Sides look polished. Wish they wouldn't have done that.
