iPhone 16 PRO Bluetooth

If I have my airpods connected to my iphone 16 pro and jump into the car and choose to play music in the car, after 30 seconds the airpods lose connection with the phone and then reconnect again, which causes the music to jump from the car to the airpods. I can't find a solution to this, it's really annoying. Do you think there is a solution?

So u want to stay connected to the car or airpods?
If car: put the airpod in their case and your phone shouldn’t play on them.
If airpods: select the airpods in Bluetooth settings or delete the car from bluetooth devices

I have the same issue in my VW Caddy and Volvo.
I did read somewhere that there was a fix for it, maybe it was in the 18.6 beta or the 26 beta, can't remember.
