Both on iOS 18.2

Capturing some of the Q & A content I would have wanted to see before buying.

Pros:
It’s fast. It’s noticeably faster on the websites I frequent in Safari.

Speakers sound better and louder.

UI and apps are snappier across the board.

Camera control is convenient, but not a killer feature.

Mehs:
Still soft or blurry indoor photos in well lit rooms.

Image playground feels like a gimmick for kiddies.

No improvement in WiFi performance or cellular performance.

Cons:
Battery life is noticeably worse than on the 15 Pro, even though my 15 Pro battery health was down to 92%. This is the weirdest result I’ve encountered so far. With the larger and newer battery and more efficient SOC I had hoped for some improvement.

Please Note: I’ve had it long enough now that it’s done “indexing” LOL

Temperature. It gets hotter than my 15 Pro while using the camera, web browser or Facebook. It gets warm on the back basically at idle with these apps open just reading or typing.

Hoping that it will improve with software patches maybe.

I've seen so many people talking about this on the Apple support forums and Reddit... it seems like some people get lucky and don't experience temperature problems, and then some people experience it a LOT. 😐

I have both and I can easily see the temperature as well as battery life of iPhone 16 Pro are much better than those of the 15 Pro

That’s promising. I hope with time and updates it gets better!

I’m mostly disappointed in the poor battery life. It’s really bad compared to my 15 Pro which was down to 92% battery life.

I wonder if they are still tuning power management with the new SOC and newer iOS updates will improve things.
