Hi all,

Upgraded from a 15 Pro to a 16 Pro and first thing I've noticed is that the earpiece volume (when on call or in meetings) is significantly lower compared with last year's model.

Anyone else noticed this or is it just my luck?

Confirm. Same issue on my side. I'm quite frustrated about this. I was switching from 13 pro which had excelent sound call quality.
It's not only about volume that is considerable low, but it's also about the bass and the voice freq spectrum that is given by the earpiece.

Optimistically speaking: might be an iOS 18 issue.
Pessimistically speaking: HW issue.

Thinking about returning the 16 pro.

Oddly, I've experienced the exact opposite. I also went from a 13 Pro to a 16 Pro, and calls are substantially louder.

I just got my phone back from the Apple's Authorized Service Provider and they returned it as no fault found.
I've asked for a physical comparison, not just running diagnostics, which apparently they did and they don't seem to be finding this an issue.

It looks like they say: "it works as designed", which actually start to concern me. It might actually be something related with HW design.
