Hi all

When I take a picture in landscape view and then go to view the picture a weird animation pops up from the bottom right of the screen and then slides to the right. It’s just a black square.
This does not happen in portrait.
Is this happening to anyone else?
I have just updated to latest firmware.

Not a deal breaker but tres annoying.
I have never had such a glitch on an apple product in 20 years of owning them.

Is this what you mean, this occurs when using ultra wide then pinching in to zoom from gallery.

No, it’s a large black square which pops up when taking a pic in landscape then tapping on the pic immediately after to view it.

Screen recording for reference:

I have the same issue as well. Wondering if it’s a software issue or a hardware issue.

I just showed the issue to a genius bar staff at an Apple store. The same problem was also reproducible in other iPhone 16 Pro Max demo units in the store. I was told that I should wait for a software update that fixes this issue or return the phone.
