I’ve had an issue 3 times now with my 2 week old phone where the battery will suddenly show as being completely run down, the phone will stutter like it is about to power down, ill then plug it in and within a couple of minutes the battery will jump back to 30/40%. Anyone else noticed anything similar?

I’ve already had the phone with Apple twice due to the camera app crashing and have been told all the hardware is 100% fine so I’m getting a bit frustrated, I seem to have had more issues with my 16pm than any of my previous iPhones put together.

I can only imagine that if they take a look at the battery stats they will be able to tell of something is wrong.
When you say "will suddenly show as being completely run down" does that mean that it can go down from 50% to 1% in a matter of seconds? If that's the case that would show up in the stats.

If possible, record when you plug in the charger and how quickly it charges.
Also, if you use a powerful charger you can go from 0-around 20% in around 10 minutes.

But that’s the thing, it doesn’t show that on the battery page as that’s the first place I went. Which would suggest it’s just a display error however there is noticeable slowdown at the same time.

I would agree that it sounds like a duff battery except they’ve already checked that as well so I’m at a bit of a loss. One other guy on Reddit had the same issue so it’s not only me at least.
