I’m in the process of doing pre approval for 16 pro max I want desert color idk what to get 512 GB or 1TB.


I have 401 GB left on my phone and what’s app is taking my storage


Idk if to stick to 512GB or go with 1TB I upgrade each year?

I plan to film a bit but not like a vlog concerts here and there.

Yes I do have other camera like FX3 and zv e1.

well if you filmed a lot and didn't ran out (still have 401 GB) then it tells me you have optimized storage turned on to use icloud. If you are keeping that way, then you will not benefit from 1TB.

Now if you tell me you have 800GB of pics and videos and you will switch optimize storage to keep everything internally, then you would warrant 1TB. Also doing yearly upgrades you will lose the difference between 512 and 1tb because apple offers the same trade in price regardless of the memory size.

I’m on IUP program so basically it’s a hit or miss if I get 1TB or 512GB I was always debating on getting 1TB with 512GB never ran out I had to delete some apps though that I never used.

I think you answered your own question here. don’t buy for this imaginary plan you have. Start the plan now with your existing phone and see how much you use.

I have 415 GB now I haven’t used it all to zero I went from 256 GB to 512 GB and 512 GB worked fine but now with 4K 120 it’s going to blow up.

Since a lot of AI is going to be taking place on the phone and not the cloud I’m wondering if that’s going to affect storage. Also, will IOS updates be bigger now cause of AI?

Same here I still haven’t made a choice yet.

They don’t have 2TB yet maybe next year and that’s why 1TB will be the base one to get next year.

I think 512GB is alright if you do stuff in cloud.

Yeah I went with the 512gb just to be safe. I don’t want to take a chance with 256gb given the AI unknowns.

I want 1TB it’s a waste if I won’t use it.

I wonder if there are some differences between 256 or 512? Like some features is not allowed on 256, like some video modes. Similar that they have done before?

Go for the 512GB, seeing as you are on IUP, you can just get a 1TB in the next 2-3 generations you upgrade to when you do eventually begin hitting the storage ceiling.

Or wait for the 17 Pro Max and get 1TB of that if the Camera sees greater improvements that require more storage.
