Are the speakers on the iPhone 16 Pro Max improved compared to the iPhone 13 Pro Max?

I came from the 14 pro max and I’m blown away at how much better the speakers sound!
What? Am I the only one that come from 14 Pro and i've noticed lack of bass in 16 Pro during PHONE calls? I mean, the voice is clear, but there is not any bass at all. I don't feel comfortable to speak with highpassed voice. And i check the accessibility settings, the transfer process made them exactly the same as my old phone.

I am experiencing the same, sounds thinny. Thought it was my unit but it was the same with my wife’s as well.

Is this when you are on a call, as in not speaker phone correct? I noticed mine was high-pitched, basically all treble and no bass. Sounded clear, but sharp.

Same here - Sounded clear, but no bass, was this a regular call, not speaker phone, correct? Mainly treble and a bit sharp.

Exactly like that, clear but very sharp with little mid-range and no bass.

I came from an iPhone 13 Pro(not Max) to the iPhone 16 Pro(not max). There definitely is a difference! The audio sounds more full (the lows and highs are improved) and also more natural. It is also louder as well. Definitely an upgrade in audio!

I don’t use the earpiece for calls. Ever. I always use AirPods or speaker when I talk on the phone. I’m talking about playing back media.
