Just like the now-discontinued iPhone SE, the iPhone 16e does not have MagSafe connectivity.

This means accessories such as MagSafe cases, chargers, battery packs, and wallets will not work with the device. None of the silicone cases for the iPhone 16e are MagSafe cases. Despite this omission, the iPhone 16e continues to feature standard Qi wireless charging up to 7.5W.

This makes the iPhone 16e the first iPhone with a "modern" design to miss out on MagSafe. MagSafe was introduced with the iPhone 12 lineup in 2020 as a new accessory ecosystem.

This phone is so idiotically bad. Barely cheaper than the regular 16, and worse than a 15, apart from a new chip.

Having no MagSafe, something which was available since the iPhone 12, and built a huge collection of iPhone accessories, is insanely stupid for an iPhone that costs 600 freakin dollars.

Deal breaker for so many people. I think this phone would work at a $429 price point, honestly I was expecting $500. But $600 for this thing? iPhone 15 is a better deal imo.
Old chip/less RAM with no Apple intelligence support means the iPhone 15 is only the better deal if you want it for a year or two.

Us: it will be a new SE4. It will have this and this. I bet they will also release MacBook Air M4. Cook’s tweet looked like an AirTag… I bet new AirTags. Maybe even a HomePad device!

Reality today: New budget phone that is $170 more than the last budget phone and has no MagSafe.

Cook: lol
