I haven't seen this comparison discussed much, so I wanted to bring it up!
I'm an iPhone 12 mini holdout (who is finally accepting that Apple won't make a new mini phone) and am ready for an upgrade. I don't care for the new features and price of the 17 Pro, so I'm currently deciding on whether to go with the base 17, or the 16 Pro.
16 Pro:
Are there other factors I'm not considering? The telephoto lens sounds awesome, but Apple made the base 17 model fairly compelling this year.
Also, I understand that Apple completely stopped selling the 16 Pro on it's website, but I can still purchase it directly through AT&T. In years past, do the previous year's pro models eventually get discounted? The 16 Pro is still listed at $1099 USD (256GB), which is the same price as the 17 pro model.
