Apple will begin accepting preorders for the iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max on Friday, September 12 at 5:00 a.m. Pacific Time or 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time. The new iPhones will launch on Friday, September 19.

Pricing on the iPhone 17 starts at $799, while the iPhone Air starts at $999. The iPhone 17 Pro starts at $1099, and the iPhone 17 Pro Max starts at $1,199.

All of the iPhone 17 models feature ProMotion refresh rates, a 18-megapixel front camera, and A19 or A19 Pro chips. The iPhone Air is Apple's thinnest iPhone to date and it has only a single-lens rear camera and lower battery life, while the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max feature upgraded 48-megapixel Telephoto lenses, an upgraded body that's more durable, improved anti-reflective coating, and a new rear camera design.

Apple doesn't plan to start accepting pre-orders for the new iPhone models until this Friday, but you can pre-order the Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch Ultra 3, Apple Watch SE 3, and AirPods Pro 3 starting today.

Nothing really surprising here. Will be doing the standard iPhone Upgrade Program trade, with the iPhone 17 Pro 256GB in Cosmic Orange, along with the AirPods Pro 3 which seem like the bigger surprise given the late rumors. No price increase for me. Apple's pricing is actually relatively fair given how much everything else in the world has increased in price.

Really disappointing this year. This may be the first time in a long time I’m seriously considering not upgrading.

Really not sure if I want the Air or Pro. I've waited for a while holding onto my iPhone 14 Pro and I feel it is finally time to upgrade. The 15 or 16 Pro was not enough of a change for me.

when do we see the carrier deals? They said up to $1100 off with trade-in. I'm on T-Mobile and thought it was always just $800 off max? I guess if you are the most expensive plan you get the full base price off?

Air starts at almost $1400 in India. Pro starts at $1530. Pro Max has also increased price.

The base 17 is the best value from older iPhones. 120hz, AOD, bigger screen, better camera, better battery, higher base storage for the same price. Pro proposition is gone.

I guess thank you to Apple for not giving me a reason to upgrade my iPhone 14 Pro Max since there are no real substantial improvements from the 14 Pro Max to the 17 Pro Max. And there is no reason to buy the 17 Air

Dammit. I wasn’t planning on upgrading but, orange.. ffs.. might just look for an orange case for my iPhones pro max. LOL

The Air seems like a tough sell in the US, at only $100 cheaper than the Pro.
Well the people that would want the Air aren't necessarily the same userbase as the Pro. The Air is meant for people that want a lighter phone, but bigger screen. On the other hand Pro is for people that want the best camera.

I am stuck with Verizon’s device payments until January.

I wanna get rid of my 15 pro for that orange. Even though I’d slap it into a case lol.
