I am getting iPhone 16 but for my work phone I got a Pixel 9. I think it’s a great looking phone. I see iPhone 17 rumours suggest it will copy the camera bar? And is it more Google Vs Apple now or do people still like the Galaxy? I am really looking forward to the new camera bar on the 17 as it looks like the Pixel according to the rumours.

Rumor this and rumor that. I don’t even hold faith on all the rumors of the 16 pro until Monday, so I’m darn sure not gonna believe anything about the 17 pro little over a year away. 🤪 bring this up next year in September.

Apple doesn't want to make the phones thicker to accommodate these lenses.
Doesn’t really add up when every iPhone from the 6S to the 14 Pro have progressively gotten thicker and thicker.
Even the 15 and 16 series are closer in thickness to the 2012 iPhone 5 than they are to the thinnest iPhone in the iPhone 6 from 2014…
Also, people who just say “make the phone thicker and get rid of the bump“ completely ignore the fact that that phone would be in the thickness range of the first three iPhones, so between 10 and 12 MM thick.
Not only would that be harder to hold simply due to the massive volume a 6.9 inch phone that’s 10+ MM thick would be, but the weight would be unbearable.
People already complain about the heft of the Pro and Pro Max, imagine them almost doubling in thickness. It definitely wouldn’t be getting lighter…
