stopped by an apple store today to check out the 17 (and 16). had my OGSE with me. can't see an improvement in build quality. bigger, yes. better, not to my eye. yeah, i know, stop living in the past. i do think my next phone will be a 13 mini with a new apple installed battery. have to use a headphone dongle, but other than that i should be ok for a few more years until apple re-invents the iphone with a new mini version.

The OGSE stands as the pinnacle of iPhone design, but Apple has moved on.

The iconic home button, the compact 4.7-inch display, and the classic 16:9 aspect ratio have all been retired, sadly never to return.

Its a shame they didn't use the X/XS formfactor when they did the new SE. Its a good compromise between the 13 mini and full size 13.

Yes, I want that small brick back. Or at least something resembling Mini series.

My iPhone 5 was best ever device to take photos on. It was just 112 grams. Very easy to carry and use as daily device.

Just think: smallest iPhone 17 is as large as iPhone 11. What a shoe!!

Remember that meme?
Still relevant

I feel so bad for the iPhone mini crowd. They are still holding out hope, but chances are this is never coming back.... there just aren't enough of you for Apple to bother making it.
