For those of you wondering why there’s no black option. 😆 It didn’t occur to me until today.

I really wish that show didn’t exist 🤦🏻‍♂️

No, orange is not the new black.

Apple design team are just morons and figured they’d give their customers an annoyance that they’ll “correct” next year (for more $$$ via upgrade) 🙄

Ridiculous that both the Air and base 17 have a professional color option while the pros don’t 👎🏻

Not everyone uses a case, and not everyone wants to stare at some flashy / ugly phone color the next 1-4 years until they upgrade.

The silver just looks rather cheap, especially when compared to the titanium color from previous gens. The orange is SO bright. I don't really hate it, but it would just be too much for me. The blue will probably be what most people go with since there isn't a black. I had a blue 12PM. I thought it was a good color.

I can only assume a last minute production problem prevented them from having a black/dark grey colourway.

It’ll be back, probably next year I reckon!

The only reason I could think of why Apple didn't make a pro variation in black is to drive sales to the AIR.

I've always gotten the black or gray versions of phones. Setting up my preorder, I was VERY tempted to go orange. I already ordered cases, and with the larger bump prominently displaying the color of the phone, I ultimately decided to go blue as I always prefer darker colors. I really wish they stuck with a gray variant. All good for a year until that Fold model arrives!

We use / look at our own phones for hours per day, and not everyone wants to use a case to cover these flashy / ugly colors up.
I think all the colors are beautiful.

Also, when you frame a question that way (technically a form of begging the question) to an LLM, you'll get a response that confirms that logical fallacy. If you ask a different question, you'll get a different answer.

Here is the short summary of the response from ChatGPT when I gave the prompt: "Explain how and why bright colors like orange are professional"

Once again, AI has no idea what it's talking about. You wouldn't bat an eye if you saw a CEO wearing an orange Hermès tie.
However the CEO might bat an eye if a junior management employee came into the boardroom "wearing an orange Hermès tie." Nothing wrong with orange. The issue is about lack of good color choices for the pro phones.

Is it me or is apple starting to really get annoying with their reservation in trying new colors aka the Baltic sea color and the Sierra blue. It's getting old and I'm sick of. As for the "This orange color" lets be real and stop yes being yes man and state the truth. IT IS HIDEOUS. If we wanted to make a mock phone based on the Ultra iWatch which I'm hoping this was about because if it wasnt then LORD we have issues. I want to see brown and bronze pros. Champagne Mulberry. IDK. NOT ORANGE. I found a mock up of a yellow which looks a million times better than this. And an ultra i watch fusion. Don't get me wrong im thankful. But I've been a customer idk my whole life? And it's getting old the color choices. Stop please (I'll be sticking to white as always 🫥) side note I loved the green 11 pro and the titanium in the 15.)
