I’ve noticed that the iPhone 17 Pro Max and especially the iPhone 17 Pro either don’t charge or charge really, really slowly on third party flat chargers, like in my car. At best the car’s wireless charger can sometimes maintain existing the iPhone charge but not really increase the charge significantly. I guess it may be because the camera bump plateau is taller, and in a case, the camera cutout raised lip is even taller. It wasn’t an issue on my previous 12 Pro Max, even with a case on.

I found this pic of iPhone thicknesses here.

Judging by those dimensions, it’s probably the same problem with the 14-16 Pros in a case, but as mentioned it worked fine for me before since I was using a 12 Pro Max. Do you gals and guys experience the same thing with the 14/15/16/17 Pro/Max in a case? Charging works fine in the same case with a MagSafe charger of course.

Below is the elago silicone case I’m using. It says the lip around the camera plateau is raised 1 mm, but eyeballing it, it’s looks probably more like 1.5 mm or so.
