102 GB file transfers from 17 Pro to M4 MBA in 19min54sec. At "10 Gbps" it should take less than 2 minutes.

Same 102 GB file transfers from a T7 to the M4 Air in 2 minutes using Finder and the same cable. So the cable and computer are capable. And this isn't unique to the 17 Pro. This has been happening on the 17, 16, 15, and 14. We film a ton on iPhone with Final Cut Camera. Transferring the footage onto a Mac takes FOREVER. Nowhere near 10 Gbps.

Using finder to select the iPhone, "files" tab, and dragging the folder to my Mac. Plugging an SSD into the phone and transferring takes about 3 minutes (still not 10 Gbps, but likely throttled by the Samsung T7 write speed). So there has to be something in MacOS that's causing issues.

Using a 20 Gbps cable, M4 MacBook Air (40 Gbps). Problem has persisted with multiple iPhone 17 Pros, 16's Pros, and more. On M4 Air, new M5 MBP, M1 iMac.

Am I crazy? We want to live in that dream Mac world where we film with our phones and edit on our MacBooks, but we have to transfer to an SSD first, and then to the computer. This seems like an arbitrary problem.
