I did not have this issue with the iPhone 16.

When I plug in my iPhone to charge any slight movement to the cable and it disconnects. I mean it is charging but it doesnt feel like it holds on.

Not sure if this is intentional or a defect with my phone. Never had an issue with it before. Have a ton of USB C tech and all of them when you plug in the charger you have to pull it out. This one.... jump near it or walk fast by it and the cable falls out.

That should be a defect? My 17 stays snugly fit with either the apple supplied usb-c cable or my anker cable.

If iPhone is still in return window, return it for a replacement. Failing that, ask Apple to see what they can do about it.
I know people nowadays scoffing at charging via wire but wired charging is still miles faster than wireless charging plus less overheat to deal with.
