Apple is selling us the 'best technology' without really maxing out on their range.
I saw this and was blown away
and thought the iPhone 18 won't even be this good ( 7,500mAh battery / supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging)
What kept me with the iPhone is the os, but this liquid bubble glass effect is so bad that it makes me want to jump ship.
If we are being honest, Apple never tells us they are selling the best technology, they tell us they are selling the best iPhone, which is true.
The Chinese have certainly made huge strides, I was an avid Huawei user for a long time up until all the banning happened. I had the likes of Mate 20 Pro and P30 Pro, both were absolute monsters in their time both in terms of overall performance and battery life (including. Battery charging speeds), it was like having your cake and eating it, truly unreal stuff. I would charge my P30 Pro in the morning with the 40W charger while showering and in less than an hour it was at 100% then the battery has enough juice for the full day which it easily lasted.
What always was a bit of a problem was the software quality and lack of thorough support by social media apps of camera APIs etc… e.g. you have the Instagram app but the Camera function in that app doesn’t support fully taking advantage of the powerful hardware the Huawei has, so pictures would look average and videos would look pretty bad.
Also, accessories support from 3rd parties wasn’t great, along with ecosystem not being as powerful as Apple’s, too much reliance on Microsoft and Google, a lot of duplication etc…it all got messy.
Xiaomi don’t seem to be as on the ball as Huawei was either, I also see that often times the top Xiaomi stuff often stays within China, even MKBHD’s one is a China model, we don’t get the very best outside of China.
It seems the likes of Xiaomi are also not exactly great at software optimisation, despite large batteries they barely beat iPhone battery life.
Have the older Xiaomi 15 Ultra and 15T Pro received their Android 16 updates yet?
I don’t believe Xiaomi is good at updates either.
The most impressive aspect of the line up is the battery capacity.

When Apple introduce phones with the same battery technology, I will most probably upgrade again as all of the phones in the line up will easily have full day battery life.
This can be a factor for second attempt of a mini iPhone.
This exactly! Huge 7500mAh battery only to last 5 minutes longer than the iPhone with 4832mAh battery, lol!
Xiaomi are not at all good at software optimisation or updates.
The guy in the video is even mentioning how the Xiaomi was heating up throughout the test…not good
