Iphone 1G, cannot get bluetooth to connect anymore

So, this phone has been pretty good, about a year old now. Of course, most likely 366 days.

But, I have been using it with a BT Aliph headset, but lately I cannot get it to pair with anything. As if, the radio is not coming on or something. The iphone just keeps spinning and spinning, no see the headset, or computer or anything.?

Is there some software issue that might cause this? I haven't updated beyond 2.0.2

I would do an update to 2.2 and a restore, hopefully that will work.
