So, a friend of mine gives me his old iphone and says i can have it. he says something is "wrong with it" but he is very non computer and technologically savvy. He tells me it wont charge, and he hasnt gotten it to turn on in months.

So I'm at Target last night looking through their ipod/iphone accessories, and i place the iPhone on an iJuke and it charges right up. I leave it on charging for a good 5 minutes and the phone turns on and works for a few minutes, and of course dies again.

I go home to charge it via the USB (my usb cable, not his) and it doesnt work. I'm actually a little confused on why it charged on an iJuke in a display but not at my home using USB which is its natural charging place. help?
