i don't think it was a typo. rather, a guestimation on the programmer's part. steve already announced it was coming in july. i strongly doubt it'll come any sooner than that.

I think maybe the person who wrote it was going on the initial announcement of "late June".

So "early July" is the last week of July? Yeah... you do know that AppleCare is about as up to date on this stuff as we are, right?

Where the hell does it say June 9th? June 9th already passed... so I think it's obvious that the app store isn't here.

Steve Jobs said the app store would be coming "early July".

GPS/maps??

I already have an iphone and don't really care to get the new 3G. I know current iphone users (w/ edge) will be able to get the 2.0 software update as well. Does anyone know if the GPS maps is included as well, the new version??? That is the only thing I really want.

You won't be able to use GPS...


Also, as Macuser blog brings up, International slip ups like this have happened before with the airport express update, and the iPod Touch price drop.

Apple have since withdrawn the ad for the 'App Store' completely, on the stated Australian product page, therefore pointing to a possible web-editing error/mistake.

The ad was replaced with another ad stating 'Build iPod touch applications' which now links to the iPhone SDK download on ADC:
