Do you guys think they will release the official iPhone 2.0 and App Store on June 9th (or 10th) with the WWDC 2008 keynote? In Apple's press release it says "Apple plans to release the final iPhone 2.0 software, including the iPhone SDK and new enterprise features, as a free software update for all iPhone customers by the end of June."

It is a software/developer conference, so wouldn't this be the best time? I just don't see Apple giving us a date for a software release, more of a "...here are some additional features of the final iPhone 2.0...and this is being released TODAY!" when the keynote comes around.

What are your thoughts?
Have a great day everyone

For the love of God; will people stop posting about things that have been posted about a billion times before!

yep posted loads before

but i doubt it will be released at the same time
the WWDC will probably be to show more features, and demo some apps from the big software companies

Jesus, way to get unjustifiably mean.
The majority of former posts have been about upcoming hardware revisions. I searched "iPhone 2.0 (software) release" and only a couple came up. Although if you search "3g iPhone" tens of posts come up, how about you go flame them? My post was simply to renew the idea of people expressing opinions on the release date of the actual 2.0 software.

Apologies for being mean, however you could have started your title with 'Do you think....'.

That way I would have known what it was about rather than thinking it may contain some new information.

The OP has a point, but should be more clear

You're getting flamed as the title of your thread is iPhone 2.0 which could mean hardware or software. I can see where you're coming from. It'd be good to differentiate between iPhone v2.0 (aka 3G iPhone, as it's very expected the next hardware update will have 3G) and the iPhone software, which will become 2.0 when the SDK is released.

Having started a thread on the 3G iPhone, I don't want to flame in any way, as you raise a potentially interesting point:

Apple's press release says they plan to release the final iPhone 2.0 software, including the iPhone SDK and new enterprise features, by the end of June, but the WWDC Jobs keynote will be 9th/10th.

Relevancy? FCC announcement come the 9th, and software v2.0 by the end of the month along with the 3G iPhone? Something new to flog to death! :D
