iPhone 2.1 thoughts

I have just applied the 2.1 update and have noticed the following changes:

- The screen seems more yellow
- iPhone is definitely snappier
- The internal speakers are definitely louder
- The second speaker now works on the bottom of the phone (it has never worked since purchasing iPhone)
- If you shake iPhone when playing music, it shuffles the current playlist
- 3G signal strength is vastly improved, before I could only get the 'washing machine' icon now I get full 3G coverage!
- Battery life is MUCH improved. I haven't had to charge iPhone since the 2.1 update!

A big pat on the back goes to Steve and the team.
 
You are wrong. There is only 1 speaker on the bottom. The other is a mic. So you are hearing things noob.
 
As if the multitudes of other 2.1 threads people started were not enough :rolleyes:

Being that the update has been out for less than 12 hours....I hope you havent had to recharge your phone....NOOB

And im PRETTY sure the "shake to shuffle" feature does not work? Correct me if im wrong

I just can't believe how much the improved 3G speeds have improved my downloaded Apps. Money Ball seems so much smoother now!

the phone is alot more stable.. better service.. but thats how it should have been on its release.. now we need push!

Some people that come here are confused enough already without you confusing them more with a thread full of lies. Go get a life already.
 
Come on boys, give it a rest. Next you will be accusing me of using Windows!

I am only posting my experiences of this new iPhone firmware. My second iPhone speaker now works as it should and playlists have a life of their own - don't shoot the messenger.

...and I actually wanted to call myself 'scrub' but somebody else had already taken it.

- Shaking to shuffle on the iPhone: Does not do that.
- Second "speaker" on the bottom of the iPhone: It's always been a microphone and no software update will change the hardware.
 
I also noticed that if, I place my finger tip over the left speaker on the bottom (not the right speaker, only the left speaker), the volume gets turned down a lot. Great new feature.

You haven't noticed the new copy-pasting feature and turn-by-turn GPS yet? :eek:

Nokia need to stand up and take notice. Now THIS is how you provide software updates.
