Do you guys think that the Iphone 2.2
software update will be released during the Oct. 14th
notebook media event???
If not when?

Definately not the devs haven't even gotten that many beta versions, so I pretty sure its a ways off. If you're only interested in push there's a chance that it won't be in 2.2 and just in something like 2.1.1

Apple does have product lines outside of the iPhone, you can't expect an update at every one of their events.

Why would they announce any iPhone stuff at this event? It's a Macbook event. Sheesh.

I only asked.

And by the way, I've seen lots of Apple events like this - usually the invite features the big product update, but that's not to say it's the only one.

Was the sarcasm necessary?

The iPhone was updated 3 months ago and I'm just waiting incase a 32GB bump is released. The 16GB iPhone v1 came out about 3 months after the release of the 4/8GB so I assumed it might happen again.

Don't worry, it wasn't aimed at you :)

It was targeted at the OP...how they seem to think that Apple will throw in a random iPhone update amongst the new MacBooks. It's happened a lot, people think that the iPhone is the be all and end all of Apple, and that updating that over anything else needs to be their #1 priority.

Not quite.. The 16gb model came out 3 months after the release of the iPhone in the UK. It had been around in the USA quite a few months before we got it here in the UK.
Still, 32GB or more is inevitable sooner or later. No point asking when though. No one outside of Apple knows. We have to wait and see :)
