sorry to make this thread, anyway i have 2G iphone running 1.0.2 the phone has been unlocked using anysim if i remember correctly, i've been absent for quite sometimes in this iphone world , but now i wanted to upgrade my iphone to 2.1 , can anybody guide me the best method ?
i'm using mac if that's matter,
and also will i have full functionality as 3G iphone running 2.1 ? or will the 2G lack of something compared to 3G when running the same firmware 2.1 ?

and lastly what's the minus point of updating to 2.1 ?
cause i saw lots of guide on "downgrading" from 2.1 or 2.0.1 to 1.1.4 but seldom or no guide on "upgrading" to 2.1 or 2.0.1

sorry for so much questions, but i just don't want to take wrong step, and i've been absent for quite sometimes, so now i 'm quite "blind"

thx.

AnySim may cause problems. Utilizing the PwnageTool I upgraded a 1G quite easily.

You can software unlock (and jailbreak) the 2G phones, and update to 2.x release. You won't need the anysim.

The software is Quickpwn or Pwnagetool (google it)
