It was slowly getting worse. I was sort of "massaging" the screen near the carrier logo, and it got a little better and it got a little worse. There was a line extending from the carrier logo all the way to the battery icon. After massaging it, a piece of the line disappeared, but the entire carrier logo is covered up. Before, about half of the height of the carrier logo was covered.



Because some of it went away and some of it moved around, is it a problem with the actual screen or just the glass?
 
the problem is with the lcd. its only a matter of time until the lcd goes out. and on a 2g its not worth fixing. sorry!

Oh well. I only bought the 2G (for $95) after selling my iPhone 3G (for $340). I'll probably keep it as a spare even after I get my white iPhone 4.
