Hey Guys,

I was given a 1st gen iPhone, it came with no sim, and had a passcode. I restored it, and it's currently at 3.1.3. I want to unlock this and put it on another carrier, T-Mobile if possible. I've been reading guides like crazy, and trying several methods. So far, I've tried Spirit (which worked great on my Touch, but I'm getting an error and it isn't working.), RedSn0w, this appeared to work, even said it was installing the data on my phone post-installation, but it still won't go past the emergency call screen, and the only SIM I have is for T-Mobile.

So I was wondering what I should do.

Thanks.

So far until now, nothing I've tried worked on my friend's iPhone 2G. But I finally got it working. I used resn0w 0.9.3, no other version of it worked. And you also have to download the iphone1,1 3.1.2 ipsw to use, the 3.1.3 won't work. I just had this work for me after everything else has failed. Just make sure you check cydia and unlock when you're doing everything. Give it a shot and let me know if it worked for you.
