My iPhone 4 was stolen. Blows.
Anyway... I went and got a new SIM card and popped it in my rotten blackberry to hold me over. That worked fine but my sister recently offered me her old first generation iPhone... I hate BB's so I took her up on the offer. I assumed I could just slap the SIM card in and everything would be kosher but since it was recently restored I had to activate it first.
The activation process was forcing me to add a new data plan to my account to facilitate the 2G phone. Suspicious, I called AT&T, and I was told that there was no way for me to activate a 2G phone on my line while leveraging my current iPhone 4 data plan.
I just find this hard to believe. Is the CSR I talked to clueless or is this really the case?
