iphone 2G, quickpwn to 2.2.1, quickpwn won't detect

Hi,
I have an iphone 2G at 2.2.; jailbreaked; unlocked. Using itunes 8.1.1, OS 10.5.7.
I want to quickpwn to 2.2.1. But after my iphone is restored and i open quickpwn, quickpwn never detects my phone.
I have found this discussion: http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/f167/69622.htm#post402368 but am not sure if that is my problem or if the solution stated there works.

Any advice?
