I currently have the original iPhone. Why get rid of something that works?! I was looking at the apple website for eligibility upgrades, and I want your interpretation on whether or not my service carries over.

http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_iphone/family/iphone?mco=OTY2ODA2OQ#faqs

I'll copy the FAQ I'm talking about specifically:
"Can I use my current rate plan with an iPhone?

Yes, if you currently use iPhone 3G or 3GS, you can keep your current rate plan. But if you have an earlier-generation iPhone or other phone, you may be able to keep your current voice plan, but you are also required to have an iPhone data and messaging plan. Get started by checking your eligibility and reviewing the AT&T rate plans."

I have unlimited text and data already. Do you think I'll lose this???!!! I'll be angry if I don't! I'll stop by AT&T sometime to ask. Maybe even Apple. Thanks!
