iPhone 2G to iPhone 4 upgrade?

Anyone have experience with this? My concern is that iPhone 2G can't update to iOS 4.0. So when I go to restore from last back up onto iPhone 4 it will have OS 3. Will that work?

It doesn't backup the OS. It only backups your apps/media/settings.

Don't worry it'll work just fine. I went from a 3G to a 4 with absolutely no problem. It looked exactly the like I had it (only a crap load better ).
