iPhone 2G Unresponsive Screen

Hey guys,

So my screen froze up, completely. Everything else like the power button and home button work fine.

When it first happened, I did a hard reset and everything was back to normal. A week later, it happened again. This time, the hard reset didn't fix it.

Is the digitizer gone? Or are there other tricks to fixing this?
