Ok heres a weird problem that started about a month or so ago and is now consistent.
I'm on an Iphone 2g, tried this with 3.0 and 3.1.2. I've done complete restores, meaning erased all data, set up as new phone. Push, fetch, everything off.
Everytime I try and watch a video streaming, using wifi or even edge, the video will stop after about 2 minutes and the whole phone shuts down. I then reboot the phone, and the battery is in the red. After this happens I plug the phone into charge and the battery meter jumps to green and then full pretty quick.
Whats strange is that usual web surfing never causes this. Or phone use. Only video streaming which means the phone constantly downloading is using alot of battery power.
Should I replace the battery? I found a local place that will do that for 50 bucks but I'm curious if this is a software issue. I would hate to replace the battery and then go to watch a video and it crashes. Any help would be very appreciated
