So, I'm going away camping this coming week and decided to downgrade to my old 2G iPhone so that it doesn't matter if I get any scratches on it.

What are your views on the comfort difference between the two?

I think I prefer the feel of the 2G...

The 2G was the first and at Apple that will forever be dubbed the " iphone classic". Since then the durability and quality of the iPhone 3G has been pretty darn amazing, and it feels even better in the hand.

Wait until June and you'll have an even different opinion about comfort.
Have a great Trip!

I prefer the design of the "Classic" iPhone which I own. However holding the 3G in your hand is a lot nicer with it's curved back.

I'm also not a big fan of that plastic but if I were to go out and buy a 3G iPhone those flaws won't put me off :)

Well the plastic does pick up less scratches which is good, think I actually prefer the feel of the old classic one though...
