Hi,
I have a 2G iPhone which I was trying to get to work. It's locked to O2, so I put a cheap O2 SIM in as I know they have to have a SIM in to work. But when I turn it on, it gets then the Apple start up screen and then turns itself off again! I've tried plugging it into iTunes, but it doesn't even recognise it (as it can't turn on...)

Any ideas?
Thanks.

Connect it to itunes by putting the phone in DFU mode, then just restore it to factory settings.
