My battery has died on my 2G, i'm in no position to purchase an upgrade so am having to go with the replacement battery option. What's the best deal, pay £70 and have Apple replace it OR do it my self with a kit and take a chance on the soldering. Any opinions?

$80 to know its being done properly from a professional (Apple) or half that price with DIY kit from eBay with the potential that you can damage your phone permanently.

I go with option 1, Apple.
