The QT controller in Safari is now capable of playing SHOUTcast streams in 3.0. So it sort of has one built in. Depends on the type of stream you want to play of course.

There has been rumors about the next iphone to have radio built in but we dont know for sure.

The 3.0 software upgrade will not bring radio antennas to iphones.

Will the 3rd Gen. iPhone hardware have a radio? Who knows. But i think Apple sees this as old technology that doesn't have a place in the iphone.

Is a radio really necessary any more? I can't remember the last time I listened to the radio function on any of my old phones.

I'm much happier with podcasts etc
