Hello all. Being addicted to the hype and not thinking strategically... I purchase the iphone 4 last friday 7/23/2010 opening an account using my name. My sister and i had already planned on sharing the account using her fan discount.. 30% off. BEFORE purchasing my iphone. i SPECIFICALLY ASKED BOTH APPLE AND AT&T (in person) if i could just open a regular plan. and transfer the account holder name/ apply the fan to my sister the following day. ( I could not get in contact with her and the mall was closing). After taking to many CS reps from att they finally informed me that i had a 60 day waiting period to change the account holder name.
I refuse to pay the actual amount that att is charging.
so i am asking you guys before i call them later today. ( at work right now) what shoould i expect if i ask them to cancel my line within the 30 days and reopen the account under my sisters responsibility?
