iPhone 3G 2.1 apps not working

I have just updated to 2.1 on the same pc and itunes library and now none of my apps will load, they start to and then just close, this is on all the apps
any idea's?

Try a complete reload of the firmware rather than update/restore. This means you'll lose all your data so it's a last resort type of thing.
