Hi,

I work in a shop and we buy and sell mobile phones and laptops from the public and sell them on. To cut a long story short we have several iPhone 3G's and iPhone 3GS's that in my opinion (correct me if i am wrong) have been jailbroken and then before we sell them we restore them all to factory default setting using iTunes and have now become corrupt/bricked/stuck in recovery mode...

I managed to fix about 9 of these phones that we have collected over a while but stuck on the last 3 and cant fix them.

Ok so first up, I have an iPhone 3G (Model A1241).

I know nothing about the iPhone, I have been given it to fix in its corrupt condition. So I don't know the baseband, previous firmware version or anything else...

So if you try and do a normal iTunes restore it will start doing it then eventually give you the error message 1604.

If I try and do what fixed my other iPhone 3G's (put them into recovery mode and restore with a custom 4.1 IPSW file from felixbruns.de then when it inevitably fails with error message 1015 open TinyUmbrella and simply click exit recovery) - Worked for about 6 iPhone 3G's. I get a different error message 3014.

Second iPhone:

iPhone 3GS (Model: A1303).

Same situation I have no idea what firmware version it originally had or baseband.

Plug it into iTunes and do a standard restore it starts doing it and then gives you error message 1664.

I have found the solution for the iPhone 3G but I haven't found ANYTHING that works for the iPhone 3GS.

I have tried doing the same thing that I did on the iPhone 3G but no luck (I did use the iPhone 3GS firmware and tried a few different firmware versions)

Third iPhone:

iPhone 1st Gen (Model: A1203).

Same situation again I have no idea what firmware version it originally had or baseband.

Plug it into iTunes and do a standard restore it starts doing it and then gives you 1600.

I have tried looking up all these different error messages up on various forums and youtube... I have tried doing many different thing and all of them seem to be fake or haven't worked for me, I am using a Mac so wont be able to use windows programmes... This is why I have set up a new thread sorry if this topic is covered elsewhere but seemed to find a load of info that didn't really fit my situation.

Any help that anyone could give me would be much appreciated. I just want to be able to fix this error for any future phone and fix the ones I have at the moment, so please post any help/advise you have here!!!
