Is there really a such thing at the moment for the 3G/3GS? Or all jailbreaks untethered.

Because my dad called me and asked me if I would be able to unlock/rejailbreak it, the seller told him that once it reboots you have to redo it.

I thought now all the jailbreaks and unlock are untethered since those are, old school phones.

He said he won't be able to look at the firmware/baseband for a while, so just asking!

Thanks!!!

to answer your question, yes.

However, you can update his jailbreak to an untethered jailbreak just as easy as booting tethered.

Do a bit of searching on MR and have a go. All the info is here, just search a bit.

Okay thanks! I thought all tethered ones were out and untethered were in for these phones.
