I'm not a jailbreaking person but I do like to have the wallpaper and tasking. I connected my iPhone and went through the whole process, and it was quite snappy. It just had to reboot my phone and it would be enabled. I see that when it boots up it stays on the Apple logo, then the screen dims. I assumed it was bricked, but the weird thing is that I only have 29 apps, about 100 photos, and about 150 songs and timed the original bootup for only a minute. Help? BTW I tried force booting it about five times and it did the exact same thing.

Restore to 4.2.1 with iTunes and try again.

Or use Pwnagetool/Sn0wbreeze and create a jailbroken 4.2.1 IPSW.
