hey guys i need some major help! im locked out of my iphone 3g bc i no longer have the original sim card. i tried pwnage and restoring that way but the phone wont finish the restore without the activiation..... i would use my current sim excpet its now a micro sim....i just want to use the phone as an ipod touch basicaly for apps email and music. any ideas?

When I did that to my iPhone 3G it was a pain in the ass, you have to jailbreak it, then find an app that allows you to access your iPhone through ftp and insert the Ultrasn0w package into your iPhone, then reboot it twice and thats about it.

There must be an easier way to do it, hope this helps, although I think you should be more lost now with my explanation.

just get any old at&t sim card and use that, it doesn't even have to be active. That is of course its an at&t iphone, not sure how others would work, but I did a restore of my 3G a couple months ago and stuck in an old de-activitaed at&t sim and it worked.
