Since having the original iPhone and upgrading to 3G I have always thought the battery sucked. On the 3G I have everything turned off (bluetooth, push/fetch, wifi) and yet after viewing a few websites and sending texts the battery goes down like 20%.

But today.. different story!

I used my phone for like 2 and a half hours.

-3 phone calls
-12 texts
-half an hour using safari and the yelp app
-45 minutes playing Aurora Feint

and still the battery is full! this is AMAZING lol, i'm thrilled.
i hope the battery will be like this all the time from now on!

Turn your phone off then on.

Now tell us if you're still thrilled about it.

Yep, same thing happened to me. I woke up, my phone was fully charged and used it all day. The battery was still full and I found that completely weird and too good to be true. I proceeded to turn off the phone and turned it back on only to be greeted with the 10% low battery warning, figures:rolleyes:

wow lol damn, well i guess it was too good to be true, oh well

yup just turned it off and back on and have 10% battery left.. FML

I use my iPhone more than that and the battery usually lasts me at least a day and a half, usually 2 days...

How is that possible? I mean you dont text, call, surf safari, play games, have email checked? The only way you can get that much battery life if all you do is listen to music and thats about it.

I left home yesterday at 12pm with my battery fully charged. I always have 3G, Wi-Fi, Push and Location Services on. It's now almost 1am and I still haven't reached the 20% battery warning. Since yesterday I used twitter quite a bit, browsed a little bit, listened to music for about an hour, had about 5 calls and a few texts, used Beejive for a while too, received about 50 emails and used Maps for about 10 minutes.

This is my normal usage.

I don't have much trouble with my battery, to be honest.

I have location services, Wi-Fi and 3G on at all times. I have one email account set to push, and another set to check every half hour. I've had my iPhone unplugged for about 14 hours right now.

Right now, I'm at around 4 hours of usage according the the iPhone. That includes 9 phone calls, around 50 total text messages, probably a combined 30 minutes spent surfing the web, another 30 minutes spent between Tweetie, Tumblr, and MLB At Bat, and about two hours playing solitaire.

My battery meter appears to be around 35-40% right now.

i had been using iphone for a couple hours hardcore usage, and no battery had drained. 5 minutes later the phone shuts off and has the low battery thing flashing.
