so, in getting ready for the iPhone 5, I am planing on getting rid of my iPhone 4. For the time between now and when the 5 comes out, I will be using my original 3G model. I am though, having some problems with the capabilities of the two phones. Whilst changing phones, I want to keep all my messages and contacts that are currently on my 4. Both the 4 and 3G are updated to the latest software, but I cannot choose the back up of my 4 for use on the 3G due to the iPhone 3G software being "too old."
This isn't good, I need to keep all the messages i have on my 4. Is there anyway to getting around this, and being able to transfer everything over to the 3G? Is it possible to downgrade the software on the 4, then re sync, backing up all information, on a older software version?
Surely someone else will or has come across this problem, if they are selling their 4 in anticipation of the 5.
Thanks.
