I held back from buying the iPhone 3g because I was concerned that people were reporting problems with bluetooth car kits, and the iPhone not uploading address books. Finally, I gave in, and decided that I could get over the issue some other way.

So I bought the iPhone, and love it, and was reconciled to having to wait for the bluetooth problems to be sorted by Apple whenever they got round to it, and just used the (very poor) voice recognition system in my Fiat 500.

Today, after weeks of ownership, I looked at the display on my car when I was receiving a call, and saw that it had the address book name on it!

So I checked the full address book, and it's all there!

I haven't done anything with the bluetooth connection on the phone, haven't played with any settings on the car, and haven't connected my iPhone to my MacBook in days, but it's simply decided to work!

Anyone else had anything similar happen?
