Mods: Move this to iPhone hacks if needed.

O.K., so now the problems start.

I have an iPhone 3g - running iOS 4.0 and it is jailbroken. I installed just a few things, but right now there is not much (Cydia, iBlank, WinterBoard, netatalk). I had tetherme, too, but it uninstalled right now as it was causing the Systems Settings to crash.

The other day, while the phone was connected to my USB dock a message appeared that there was no SIM installed. Looked at the phone's settings, made a call, etc. No problems. I removed the SIM and wiped it off just to make sure nothing cruddy was on it. It seems to be fine and I have not seen that error again.

Today, however, the iPhone keeps dropping its WiFi internet connection, either at home or when using my MiFi card from Sprint. I got that card primarily for my laptop, but it supports up to 5 connections. At home the WiFi is WPA-secured, and the iPhone drops but will usually reconnect. The MiFi is also WPA-secured, and the phone occasionally drop as well (the laptop does not, though). I took off the security on the MiFi, but it did not help with the iPhone connection.

The iPhone can see the SSIDs, and it attempts to connect but just fails sometimes.

I would hate to have to take the iPhone to AT&T as I am afraid they will put iOS 4.0X on it thus killing the jailbreak.

Anybody have any ideas?
