iPhone 3G - any ATT SIM?

Right now, is it possible for me to buy an iPhone 3G and jailbreak and activate it Pwnage, put in my 1st Get iPhone SIM inside, and be able to have service and such?

So basically my question is, Is it possible to use another ATT SIM in the 3G when you bypass activation?
