iPhone 3G as iPod battery life

How long would an iPhone 3g last as being used as an iPod. Brightness all the way down, airplane mode, everything off that tries to connect to a cellular network. The reason I ask is because im going on a 13 hour plane trip next week and was wondering if my iPhone would last my whole flight. Thanks

How long do you guys think though, ill try to squeeze 2 itunes movies from my Macbook but after that its all ipod, I have a 12 hour bus ride after the plane ride too so im wondering if ill make it through some of that. Thanks for the help
