iPhone 3G available online?

I know they are planning on activating the iPhone 3G in stores on the 11th, but does anyone know if you can order them on the Apple online store? The nearest Apple store is 300 miles from me and the only ATT store with the iphone only got 10 in last year and I don't feel like standing there.

Anyone know?
